Back on the island for the third year!
For the third consecutive year, Think Live returned to Ibiza to deliver the live broadcast production for BBC Radio 1 Dance, bringing the energy of the island to audiences watching on BBC iPlayer.
With an incredible line-up and a packed venue at 528 Ibiza, our team was responsible for capturing the action and delivering a seamless multi-camera live production.
Our setup included multiple broadcast cameras, jibs and drones, giving us everything from sweeping aerial shots of the venue to close-up moments with the artists and crowd.
This year, we also introduced something new.
We developed a compact, immersive camera system built around a mobile phone, allowing us to take viewers right into the heart of the action. Moving freely through the crowd and getting closer to the performers, it gave us a completely different perspective that traditional broadcast cameras simply couldn’t achieve.
Combining established broadcast technology with new ways of capturing content is something we love doing at Think Live. It’s about finding creative solutions that make the viewing experience more engaging, without compromising the quality and reliability of a live broadcast.
A huge amount of planning, equipment and teamwork goes into making productions like this happen, and we’re proud to have played our part for the third year running.
Same island. New perspectives. Another incredible production.
